Welcome to Joyful Beginnings

It has long been our passion to help you have a peaceful and joyful way to welcome the precious new addition to your family. We are Kentucky licensed, certified professional midwives and have been serving the Southern Kentucky area for the last 16+ years, with the addition of the North Georgia area for the last 3+ years. In this time we have helped families welcome over 900 new blessings, and have completely trained or helped with the training of 5 midwives. We continue to enjoy our calling as midwives and look forward to helping you work toward achieving the birth plan that you have in mind. We work with families from all walks of life, and do our best to be flexible and supportive of your ideas while encouraging you in good health and safety for you and your little one. We believe that God created a woman to birth naturally and that most of the time the process works well unhindered. We see our role as that of supporting women in their journey. Midwifery is not just a job with us; it is a calling and a passion.

  • “Renee Rojas was my midwife for my first homebirth - the birth of my third child. She was attentive to all my questions and concerns at the beginning and at every appointment. She was calm at the birth and completely uninvasive - she didn't even feel it was necessary to check dilation. My baby came quickly and with no complications. She was very gentle with my baby and helped us get settled. After the birth she came a few more times over the next days and weeks to check on us - again taking time for all my concerns and questions. She was wonderful to work with; I will definitely be calling her again if I have any more children.”
